March 21 is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. We recognize the ways in which racialized communities and marginalized populations continue to confront racism and acts of oppression. As we remember the 1960 Sharpeville Tragedy, and tragedies that have taken place since then, we acknowledge there is still much learning and action to do in combating all forms of racial discrimination and injustice, and to create a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
