Kwanzaa is celebrated by many North Americans of West African descent in recognition of their African heritage, culture and traditions. During the seven-day festival, the candles of a seven-branched candelabrum are lit, representing attributes such as unity, self-determination, responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. We would like to wish a Happy Kwanzaa to all those observing this celebration!
